A Smile For Your Day

I love seeing pictures of my growing nieces and nephews. Now none of them live close enough for me to watch, in person, grow up. This picture was posted on Trina's Blog and it melted my heart! I love these two little babies, who are growing up so fast.
Here is the smile for your day.

The Osuna Photo Shoot

Part of my adventures is photography. I got to take Daniel and Trina's family Christmas pictures. It was freezing cold but they did amazing.
Enjoy

Cement Pouring

I haven't blogged all year...literally. 2016 is here and I have yet to post a blog post in it. I really neglected the blog over the holidays, but I'm back and with a ton of posts under my belt.

Several months ago we poured a concrete slab for a patio in the making. Dad is super creative and can see full built things before the ground is even plowed. I have no idea how he does it but he does. He has this vision for a new patio in the back. He marked it all out and leveled the ground accordingly. It was raining a lot so we had to wait for a dry day to pour the cement. I don't have a lot of experience pouring cement and it's a more than a two person job. Because of this Dad asked Michael and Christopher to come and help.

While we were waiting for the cement truck to come, Christopher tousled around with John.

Michael and Dad discussed the plans and how to have the cement poured.

When the truck came we got started right away.

We were super thankful for the help of Michael and Christopher.
This is the beginning of a really cool project. More progress to come.

Trip To Texas To Welcome Weldon Michael

There was a lot of decision making in order when it came to when to go down to Texas to help Hillary after the birth of Weldon. I was going to go at the end of October until the beginning of November. My plane tickets where bought and all was planned. We all thought Weldon was going to be born early but God had other plans. I was perfectly fine going early until I heard that my youth group where going on their annual retreat over the time I was gone. I had not yet had a chance to go on the retreat. It was extremely important to me, to be able to go to this retreat. It was two of my best friends last year to go and I really wanted them to be a part of my first fall retreat. I hadn't put a lot of thought into how to make that happen but I knew I wanted to go to the fall retreat. I was complaining to Christopher about it, and he bluntly looked at me and said, "Why don't you just change your flights". I couldn't believe that I hand't thought of that. I thanked Christopher for the use of his brain and started getting stuff together to do so. I talked with Hillary and she was fine with it. When I went to talk to Dad, he wasn't as fine. He felt like it was really important for me to be there for the birth. Hillary had offered to let me watch, and Dad wanted that to happen. Hillary and I persuaded Dad and switched the tickets. I was extremely excited to be able to go to Fall Retreat.

Fall retreat lived up to it's name and I wouldn't change going for the world. The next day, I drug my, extremely tired body on a plane and headed for Texas. No one ever bothered to tell me that, retreats often leave you very tired. Especially if you are with almost 200 of your peers, praising God all weekend long. Again, Fall Retreat was one of the most amazing weekends I have ever been a part of.

Ruthie, Hillary and Katie came to get me, and Hillary was still very much pregnant. They introduced me to some In and Out Burger and we headed home. I stayed up and visited with the girls for a while but I was really tired. As Ruthie put it, I had just come back from a weekend with God. Who knew how physically tiring that could be. It's as your physical body is so worn out, but your spirit is so alive.
The waiting began. I got to spend hours of time with little Katie. We waited and waited for the arrival of little Weldon. Mark and Hillary asked me to babysit ,Katie so they could squeeze one last date in. It was indeed the last because Weldon made his appearance the next day.

The little dude arrived in the morning on the 12th. I was supposed to leave on the 12th until my dates where changed. God works in mysterious ways, my friends. I was able to watch the birth. Honestly it was the coolest thing ever. Little Weldon is adorable, as you can see.

All of us girls waited all day to be able to hold him. We didn't really do much all day, for fear we may get dirty. We eventually got to hold him and it was instant bliss. I was completely in love with the little dude.

Mark stayed home from work for the rest of the week. He was able to care for Katie a lot. I had some free time and got to lend a hand with farm work. My favorite!! :) The Hutchins, and I do totally different types of farming. But we do it the same way. On Sunday night I got to go catch turkeys with them in the poring rain. That, my friends, is when friends, become family!

Mark went back to work on Monday and me and Katie got some more time together.

This little girl has grown up so much from the last time I saw her. When I saw her last, she was hardly walking and now... She is walking and talking about everything.

Her favorite word is no, and she loves to put a little attitude with it. Honestly its really cute.

She LOVES shoes. Your typical girl, I know

And she LOVES her puppy and new little brother.

My last day there was really sad. I hadn't been to Texas in over a year and I only got to stay for 10 days. Ever good thing must come to an end but I wish it wouldn't.

My favorite part of the trip was strengthening bonds with three amazing girls.

Ruthie is my steady hand. She is ALWAYS there for me. She never stops building me up and encouraging me. I don't know what I would do with out my Ruthie.

Abigail (Carmen) is my laugh. She always knows how to put a smile on my face. She she relates to me well and is always there to help me turn that frown upside-down.

I feel so at home with this family!

I don't know what I would do with out them!!

And lastly, Kathrine is my big sister. She steps into a role, she is so good at, for me. I have need some big sister time and I got Hillary and her! I definitely love my Kathrine.

Washington Adventures! Part 1

Every Summer me and the kids go to Washington to visit our mommy. It is always a ton of fun. We always learn new things about Washington. This year two unusual things happened. The first being, we got to visit Timothy. This was the first year that Timo was living with mom. It was really awesome getting to see him and live life beside him again. The second thing was, I stayed with mom and Richard for an extra month. Rosie and John were a little terrified about fly across country alone, but they made it alive and well.

We got a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier on the fight in. I believe that is Mt. Rainier.

Timo here is teaching Rosie how to properly use and handle a BB gun. Something she didn't know before. There was a lot of BB guns being used over the time we were there. Safety first.

Mom's back yard is very small compared to what we are used to. Living on a farm makes any back yard small. There is a nice sized patio in the back and then the rest is grass. Over the years mom has bought a couple of outside toys for the kids to play with while they are there.
There really was no rain in Washington this year. Buckets of rain were dumped on us in Nebraska but when we went to Washington it was very dry and hot. Which is kinda an oxymoron. Usually it is completely the other way around. All of the lawns, including moms, was brown and dry. The trees, on the other hand, were beautiful and very green. They never seem to get brown.

As soon as I got there there was a surprise for me! Lindy and her brother had driven to Spokane to visit their sister. Lindy had come down to Seattle to see Timo and surprise me. It was super fun having her there for the first week I was there. She loved Seattle. I don't blame her. She loved the beauty and the interest it holds. Nebraska is beautiful but has a sameness to it. In Seattle everything seems different. Timo had taken her downtown the day before I came. And that, as well, was a whole new experience.

Last year, I brought mom's dog Checkers back to live with Trina and Daniel. It was a challenge at the time, but looking back it is just funny. Anyway, when we got there, mom had a new dog. Roxy. Roxy and Checkers had practically totally different characters. Checkers is wild and crazy, and Roxy is calm.

One of the biggest perks of being at moms, is the Puget Sound it a 10 minute walk away. Me and Lindy walked down there almost everyday. sometimes a couple of times a day. The water was freezing every time but every time we got wet.

One day mom took us to a different part of the Sound to find sand dollars. Unfortunately we found no sand dollars but the water was much warmer than over by mom's house. Me and Lindy waded out to our waists and then it became very cold so we made our way back.

Almost every time we went down to the sound, we found a jelly fish. The jelly fish were not a alive unfortunately but they were fun to study and poke at with sticks.

Mommy really loves the Roxy doggy. She is perfect for her. The only down fall is Roxy came with some heath problems. At one point while we were there, she had two ear infections. So we learned how to treat them and they were gone in about two weeks.

Daniel and Katie came from Spokane, for the 4th of July. It is always fun to see them and having them there for the 4th of July festivities made it even better.

It is always so awesome getting to be around Katie. She is my favorite first-sister-in-law. :)

Richard!

To start off the 4th of July we have to take muscle pictures.

And more

And some more...

Daniel also decided to go for swim.

And some more muscle pictures.
For the 4th of July we went to a street fair and watched an air show. In the evening we set off fireworks. It was a great day but unfortunately I didn't get many pictures.

On the last day Daniel and Katie were there, Mom, Daniel, Katie and I drove up to Snoqualime Falls. It is about 45 minutes from moms and we have gone at lest once every year.

High fiving the falls with my bro!!!

Me and mom hiked around to this spring area and got Daniel to take a picture of our incredibleness.

While we were there , Richard got Rosie a real bow and real arrows.

Some Katniss Everdeen going on in Mom's living room. :)

Grammy and Shelly came to visit while we were there. They got a hotel that had an indoor swimming pool. We went and swam twice while they were staying there. We almost had the whole pool to our selves.

Playing some water volly-ball without a net.

Filming a little video of Grammy pushing us into the pool. No one was hurt.

Timo went on a missions trip while we were there. He went to Belize and while he was there he got his hair cornrowed. When he took them out his hair was extremely curly and look awesome.

A lot of amazing hair going on in this picture.

More muscle pictures

The last day the kids were there we went  to the local zoo.

It was fun getting to see a different zoo. Since we are used to the one here.

Mom and Richard!!

These tigers were very photogenic. Posing for as many pictures as one may want.

A part two is coming. More photos from when I was just there. I hope you all enjoyed.
